Halo
Halo has simply go to be the single greatest first person shooter ever invented. The story line is flawless, the graphics are the shiznit, and the gameplay (after getting used to the Hamburger controller by Microsoft) is and I quote "easy as a Las Vegas Hooker."
The remarkableness behind this game, is the single fact that it was the first of its kind on the X-box. Along with its release Halo brought hope for more upcoming X-box titles. Unfortunately for those titles Halo is so good, that the chances of the sequel or a spin-off of Halo may not be as good. So here's to Microsoft, and the one truly awesome, made by the company itself, video game, Halo.
Introduction
Lets start with the basic point of the game. Your quest is to find Halo and keep it from falling into the hands of the invading alien races. Halo is basically a huge weapon of Massive Destruction and could easily end the human race. Ha! Thats why we're here, basically the last of the Earths' fighting forces to keep our planet from falling into the hands of these aliens. Along our way we will be able to hijack alien spacecraft, drive our own vehicles, steal alien weapons and use our own.
Graphics
Where to begin. Everything in this game is so detailed that when I look around and see my fellow soldiers running towards the enemy, I feel like I am storming the alien homefront with them. Then you get the alien spacecraft, you get the sun reflecting off everything, and at night you get to look up at the very detailed starry night, so long as tracer fire isn't flying by. You can be running somewhere and the expansive terrain detail is so incredibly awesome that you can see the leaves on the trees or the holes in the walls of buildings that you have shot.
Sound
Once again Microsoft put a lot of effort into making this an incredible shooter. However when I'm on the other side of the island no where near the combat zone and it sounds like I'm being shot at, but noone's around. I start to question Microsofts' use of volume on the battlefronts ambient sound. Other than that I didn't have a problem with the sound in the game.
Controls
Microsoft I love you guys. I love that you developed the worst controller in video game history. I love that its the same size as a double cheeseburger at Burger King. However, I do love you guys for making Halos' in game controls easy enough to learn, so that after an hour of gameplay you can be runnin and gunnin. The vehicles could benefit from a different control setup. Its just to hard to master, unless you practice driving at Halo's Drivers Ed school, which sadly doesn't exist. With a different controller maybe a higher rating.
Multiplayer
Really easy to get used to. I love that if your partner dies you can get out of the combat zone and poof there's your partner. However on the Highest Difficulty level, 4 people trying to save the world, just ain't enough. So thats where Halo's on-line capability will come in handy in the next year. So that 16, yes 16, good citizens of earth can transform themselves into heroes of the world of Halo.

 Rating System (scale of 1-5):
Graphics: 5 (Incredibly Awesome)
Sound: 4 (Some ambient sounds interfere)
Controls: 3 (the X-box Hamburger controller isn't cutting it)
Multiplayer: 4 (once the on-line capability arrives, watch out)
Total Rating Points Earned: 16/20 (Good Game, worth your money)
